Snell Family Farm

Snell Family Farm

Snell Family Farm, in Buxton, Maine, is a third and fourth generation diversified farm, producing apples, vegetables and flowers. There were already apple trees at the location when Henry and Ruth Snell bought the farm in 1925. Over the years the orchard has grown and adapted until today it offers 6 acres of PYO apples as well as pre-picked fruit and vegetables at the home farm in Buxton. The on-farm commercial kitchen produces baked goods and preserves, too. The Snells also sell their products Wednesdays and Saturdays from May to Thanksgiving at the Portland Farmers’ Market. After Thanksgiving, the popular “Winter Store” continues with apples, cider, storage vegetables, and kitchen products on the first and third Saturdays in December, January, February and March.

Farmstand open in summer and fall. Mon-Fri 9-6, Saturday 9-5, and Sunday 9-4.
