New Apple Recipes

Ah, the amazingly versatile apple. Crunch into it right off the display, slice it for dipping in caramel or peanut butter sauce, whip up some homemade apple sauce in the microwave, or construct a multi-course epicurean extravaganza with apples at the center of the plate (hey, we did it, so can you) – the sky is the limit!
We are pleased to offer you the following apple recipe. We do require that if you make one of our recipes, you must send us a sample of your dish. (Just kidding!)

Here is a new/old recipe from the "Maine Apple Barrel" published in 1944 by the Education Committee of the Maine Pomological Society!

(we've reduced the size of the recipe to make it more "individual" size)

Apple and Tuna Fish Salad

1 can tuna

2 apples

lemon juice (squeeze 1/2 of a lemon)

mayonnaise (just a spoonful)

Marinate the tuna fish with lemon juice. Dice the apples and mix with the tuna fish and mayonnaise. Arrange on salad greens

Simple and delicious!
