Five Fields Farm
Tom Gyger
The site of Five Fields Farm was settled by Enoch Perley and his family in 1776. Operating as a diversified farm for 130 years, it was set to apple trees in the late 1920s by John Gyger. The farm derives it's name from the first five fields planted as orchards. Surrounded by woodlots and abutting 480 acres of land preserved by the Loon Echo Land Trust, we have the distinction of being the highest farmland and one of the largest orchards in Cumberland County. We offer seven varieties of apples, you can pick your own fruit, or choose from a selection of ready picked. We invite you to enjoy snow shoe hiking and skiing on our machine-groomed and back country trails, all just 10 minutes from Bridgton, Maine.

Pastor Chuck Orchards
Charles Waite Maclin
In 1985 I started a modest apple orchard in Cushing. “One Taste And You Will Know The Difference Between Good And Evil.” I began experimenting with various apple recipes such as applesauce and apple butters. They became an instant success with family, friends and neighbors. An idea was born and in November 2005 Pastor Chuck Orchards was launched commercially. As my orchard is small I obtain my apples from Ricker Hill Farms in Turner. I am an Episcopal Priest who was in private practice as a psychotherapist for 29 years. We are now in over 150 stores and markets in 9 states, concentrating primarily on specialty food and natural markets and a number of online stores.
