North Star Orchards is a family-run farm in the foot of the western Maine mountains, overlooking the Kennebec River. Our orchard offers ideal conditions for raising superior quality apples, using ecologically sustainable Integrated Crop Management. We have cold storage, a packing facility, pick-your-own, cider mill and farm kitchen. Visit our restored 1800’s farmhouse and shop for fresh apples and a unique variety of Maine specialty foods, home wares and gifts. Try our apple cider and our own apple preserves. Pick your own apples from late August through mid-October. Enjoy a spectacular mountain view from our picnic area, or take a wagon ride. Open daily 10 – 5 from Sep. 1 through Dec. 24, and weekends from January – August.
